Volunteer Opportunity: Branch Trustee – Fundraising Volunteer

Do you love organising events and engaging with your local community? Are you passionate about animal welfare? Join us as a Fundraising Volunteer Trustee and help raise the vital funds that power our rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming work.

Make a Difference with Your Energy and Enthusiasm

As a Fundraising Volunteer for RSPCA Oxfordshire, you’ll play a key role in planning and supporting events that directly fund our essential animal welfare efforts. It’s a great way to use your creativity, meet new people, and help animals in need – all while having fun and gaining valuable experience.

About the Role

As a Fundraising Volunteer Trustee, you will:

  • Organise, promote and run fundraising events

  • Work alongside fellow volunteers and staff to plan activities across the year

  • Liaise with local supporters and the public to build awareness and engagement

  • Ensure events are compliant with current fundraising best practices

  • Provide regular updates to the committee and help steer fundraising strategy

You’ll also serve as part of our Board of Trustees, helping to guide the future direction of the charity alongside other passionate individuals.

About RSPCA Oxfordshire

Founded in 1875, we are one of the oldest animal welfare charities in the country. The Oxfordshire Branch operates as a separately registered charity under the umbrella of the national RSPCA. We are responsible for local animal welfare activities, including rescuing animals from cruelty, providing veterinary assistance, and rehoming animals in need.

Our work is made possible by a small staff team, supported by a dedicated community of volunteers – people like you, who care deeply about animal welfare and want to make a local impact.

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from people who are:

  • Full of ideas and energy

  • Organised, proactive and good at planning

  • Friendly, approachable and confident in public

  • Passionate about helping animals

  • Able to work as part of a team – and occasionally take the lead

We particularly welcome applicants who reflect the diversity of our community.

What You’ll Gain

  • The satisfaction of helping animals in your area

  • The chance to meet like-minded people and build new friendships

  • Opportunities to learn new skills and gain event experience
