Pumpkin and Cookie happily in their new home

Pumpkin and Cookie are living their best life in their new home.

They were signed over from a lady who had lots of cats and was unable to afford to look after them anymore and so gave them to us to rehome. Their new owner gave us an update on how they’re getting on:

“Pumpkin is gradually coming out of his shell. He has spent a lot of his time so far under the sofa, but from the first day he came out to eat and use the litter tray as if there was nobody there. Now (just over two weeks later) he comes out to say hello if one of the family is present, and he will sniff us and tolerate a small amount of stroking. He loves to play with the wand toy. In the evening he loves to run around with Cookie. He is still too nervous to want to leave the one room, but that’s OK – he’s making steady and good progress. Cookie was much more straightforward from the beginning. She is an outgoing, friendly little thing who loves to play or be stroked. She once showed an interest in exploring the second room but got nervous when out of the living room and went back in. So she’s happy in the one room for now.”

We love hearing how our adopted animals are getting on and it reminds us why we continue with our mission to improve the lives of as many animals as we possibly can. Your donations make all the difference, so please support us so we can change the lives of animals like Pumpkin and Cookie.
