Margot’s owner shares her adoption story❤️
Margot came into our lives in April 2020, a time filled with uncertainty and worry for so many. Yet, from the moment she arrived, she brought warmth, comfort, and joy to our home, brightening up what was otherwise a difficult period. Losing our previous cat, Humphrey, had left a hole in our hearts, and although he, too, had been an RSPCA Oxfordshire adoption, we knew we had to wait for the right cat to come along.
That moment arrived when we met Margot, a four-month-old kitten, at the RSPCA Oxfordshire. From the instant we saw her, we knew she was special. Her striking kitten blue eyes, and her silky black coat contrasted beautifully with her white bib and delicate white socks. We were utterly smitten.
Bringing Margot home was an unforgettable experience. She quickly made herself comfortable, curiously exploring every corner of the house and testing out all the softest spots to nap. It didn’t take long for her personality to shine through—playful, affectionate, and full of energy.
Now, at five years old, Margot continues to live her best life like the little princess she is. She adores cuddles, often curling up on our laps for hours, purring contentedly. Her playful side comes out when she chases her beloved tickle stick, leaps into cardboard boxes as if they are her personal forts, and embarks on grand adventures in the wild garden behind our house. She has the most endearing meow, or rather, a tiny squeak that never fails to make us smile.
Margot has brought us immeasurable happiness, and we are endlessly grateful to the RSPCA Oxfordshire for the incredible care they provided before she found her forever home with us. Without their dedication, we would never have had the joy of knowing and loving her. Adopting Margot was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made, and we can’t imagine life without her.
