Cleo’s Second Chance: From Abandoned to Adored

Cleo’s story began in the most heartbreaking way. She was found alone in the woods at Ardington, cruelly abandoned in a cardboard box. Cold, hungry, and frightened, she had no way to escape or fend for herself.

But fate had other plans for Cleo. A kind-hearted woman, out walking her dog, spotted the helpless bunny and immediately knew she needed help. She carefully took Cleo home, offering warmth and safety, before reaching out to RSPCA Oxfordshire.

Once in our care, Cleo was given a full veterinary check-up. Miraculously, despite her ordeal, she was in good health. She was vaccinated and microchipped, and it was discovered she was already spayed. With her physical well-being secured, our next task was to find her the loving home she deserved.

Like many rabbits, Cleo needed companionship—but it became clear she wasn’t interested in making friends with other bunnies. After several unsuccessful bonding attempts, we realised she was happiest in the company of humans. So, we set out to find her a perfect indoor home where she could thrive as the centre of attention.

And we did!

Cleo is now happily settled with her new family, where she enjoys all the love, care, and comfort she could ever wish for. She has a warm home, plenty of space to explore, and—most importantly – a human who dotes on her.

We’ll be sharing an update from Cleo’s new owner soon, but for now, we’re overjoyed that she’s safe, loved, and living the life she always deserved.
