Banjo and Chirpy: A Feathered Friendship Takes Flight

At RSPCA Oxfordshire, we believe every animal deserves a chance at happiness — no matter how big or small.

When Banjo, a beautiful white Zebra Finch, was signed over to us as unwanted, our team knew we had to help.

Sharon, our Operations Manager took Banjo under her wing, and the little bird quickly made herself at home in the office, chirping away throughout the day. Her cheerful song became a regular feature of Zoom meetings, often joining in with her own contributions!

Meanwhile, another RSPCA centre had a colourful Zebra Finch called Chirpy who was also looking for a home. When a kind-hearted lady came forward offering to adopt both birds, we knew it was the perfect match.

Today, Banjo and Chirpy have completely bonded and are living their best lives together.

They now have their very own room to fly around in, and it’s wonderful to see how happy they are in each other’s company.

It’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do — finding loving homes for every animal in our care.
