Bailey’s New Beginning

Bailey’s story is one of love, loss, and new beginnings.

She came to us under heartbreaking circumstances – her beloved brother had suddenly passed away from a congenital heart condition. Although Bailey was given the all-clear by the vet, the change left her deeply unsettled. Lonely and withdrawn, she struggled to connect with her human companion, and her spirit began to fade. Her family made the incredibly difficult decision to surrender her, hoping she could find happiness in a new home.

And find the happiness she did.

Bailey has now found a wonderful forever home – and even more special, a new best friend called Ebony. When Bailey first arrived, Ebony gently greeted her through the bars of her cat carrier with a soft nose kiss. From that moment, it was clear these two were destined to be besties. Now, they’re already getting up to mischief together, their bond growing stronger by the day.

Her new family sent us this beautiful update:

“We can honestly say that we’ve never adopted such a loving, gentle, confident and playful cat! She’s truly amazing! She was at home from the moment we got her and she didn’t hesitate to go out of her temporary room to explore everywhere 😁.

I have a routine going where I’m playing separately with both of them to get them used to the same toys – that way they’re both expending energy and getting tired. I’m making a fuss of them both too. Things are on track. They’ve seen each other and can smell each other, so we plan to put a gate (while we’re there) at the room door so they can see and smell each other and feel safe at the same time.

Then this weekend, we’ll introduce them properly with toys and treats so the focus is on fun and food.

She loves our bed and all the creature comforts. She loves to snuggle right into you and put her paws on you – she’ll grab your hand and pull it towards her face and lick it, but she’s never put her claws out. She adores rolling over and over as Ragdolls do.

I think you can tell that we’re smitten! My partner disappeared Saturday evening – I peeked in the room and she was snuggled on his chest 😊.”

From sorrow to snuggles, Bailey’s journey has taken a beautiful turn – and we couldn’t be happier for her.
