Who We Are
Our mission is to promote kindness and prevent cruelty to animals through direct welfare work, advocacy, and education within Oxfordshire, ensuring the well-being of all animals in need.
Our vision is to create a community where every animal is treated with compassion, care, and respect, and where cruelty to animals is actively prevented through education and lawful intervention.

Together, We'RE Making an incredible difference
Local Animal Rescue, Rehabilitation, and Rehoming
In Oxfordshire, our partnerships with animal hospitals and centres allow us to provide top-tier care. The vital services offered to animals rescued here include:
- Rescue, Rehabilitation, and Rehoming: We rescue mistreated or abandoned animals, prepare them for adoption with essential care, and match them with loving families, fostering responsible pet ownership.
- Accessible Veterinary Care: We offer a voucher scheme to help towards veterinary costs, microchipping and neutering, we help animals receive the medical care they need, supporting both their health and the well-being of the community.
- Lost and Found Services: We reunite stray animals with their owners, reducing risks to both animals and the public, and preventing community disturbances caused by roaming pets.
- Volunteer and Community Engagement: We offer rewarding volunteer opportunities and collaborate with local organisations to inspire compassionate action and strengthen community-driven animal welfare initiatives.
Together, these efforts transform lives – both animal and human.

Achievements and Performance Highlights
Our local branch is at the heart of our community, directly engaging with Oxfordshire residents and animals alike.
Animal Welfare Support
- The rising cost of living and increased veterinary fees have driven more calls for assistance and advice. We remain committed to supporting local families and their animals during these challenging times.
- All animals referred to us by the Inspectorate in 2023 were successfully accommodated, with the majority finding loving homes locally.
Animal Rehoming Success
Our efforts this in 2023 have made a significant difference:
- 165 Animals Rehomed: Including 104 cats, 36 rabbits, and 25 dogs.
- Cats: 119 were brought into our care, most rescued from neglect or cruelty by the National Inspectorate. We successfully rehomed 104 cats, ensuring they started a new chapter in loving homes.
- Dogs: We more than doubled our dog rehoming numbers compared to 2022, finding homes for 25 dogs.
- Rabbits: A total of 36 rabbits found their forever homes. Our Paws & Claws facility, maintained and repaired by dedicated volunteers, reopened in the spring to provide care and shelter.
